Below, we highlight some of the most memorable visuEats moments of 2021 and affirm that the best is yet to come.
To say 2021 was ground-breaking for visuEats is an understatement. It was a year of tremendous growth and momentum for the visuEats app and we are looking forward to having even more growth in 2022. Of course, as we look forward to all this year has to offer, we also take the time to look back with gratitude at the year that was.
Yes, the Best is Yet to Come!
01. The Launch of Our MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
2021 was the year when we saw the official launch and promotion of the visuEats app in the marketplace. The visuEats app was first introduced to the market with a total of five (5) restaurants. The introduction was indeed ‘small beginnings.’ However, as the saying often goes, ‘don’t despise small beginnings.’
Even with the basic visuEats features, we were able to close the year with close to 100 restaurants onboard. These restaurants span major cities across five (5) territories including:
- The United States of America (USA),
- Jamaica,
- The Cayman Islands,
- Barbados,
- and The United Kingdom.
We are particularly proud of this response given that this is only the first version of the app. With many features to be released in the coming months, truly the best is yet to come.

02. Exponential Growth of Our visuEats User Base
Even with housing the menus of some of the world’s best restaurants, visuEats would not be what it is today without the support of our awesome userbase; our visuEaters. With the help of our official social media platforms and powerful word-of-mouth marketing, visuEats has enjoyed steady promotion, increased downloads, and active usage!
Throughout the year, we have consistently maintained an average conversion rate of 65 to 75%. That is 65 to 75% of those who come in contact with the visuEats app are taking the plunge to download and actively use the same.
03. Entrepreneurship Grants and Media Buzz
As the saying goes, a good thing does not remain a secret for very long. This has been true for visuEats. For starters, 2021 saw visuEats (as led by our CEO Miss Sophronia McKenzie) competing for and winning the November 2021 award of US$10,000.00 from the Amber Grant Foundation for women-owned businesses. The award was also accompanied by an interview highlighting the work of visuEats thus far.
In addition to winning the prestigious Amber Grant Foundation award, visuEats has also enjoyed much international media coverage throughout the year in both radio and print. Highlights from the same include being interviewed by Irie Jam Radio (New York), The Bridge M (Jamaica), and Voyage Miami magazine (Florida) to name a few.
04. Crowdfunding and Giving Back to visuEaters
In the fourth quarter of 2021, visuEaters stepped up to the plate (pun intended) with an overwhelming show of support for our first CrowdFunding effort. Of course, this is in addition to all their support in downloading, using, and sharing the available version of visuEats.
With all the support visuEaters have given us throughout the year, it was only fitting that we end the year by giving back to them. We did so through the Cellar 8 C8 Moments for 8 visuEaters campaign. Of course, in keeping with our mantra that the best is yet to come, we are looking forward to having more rewards for our visuEaters worldwide throughout 2022.
