Yes, visuEats and Brand Jamaica are inextricably linked. Here’s how!
The Jamaican diaspora numbers over two million strong. In the United States alone, there are approximately 780,000 Jamaicans in the diaspora. Importantly, Jamaicans are not showing up strongly in numbers only. They are also showing up in impact. That is, Jamaicans in the diaspora are making a powerful impact both on and off the island. A quick look at the headlines coming out of the Jamaican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the accomplishments become abundantly clear. Similarly, features are becoming increasingly popular across a wide range of Jamaican-related media.
The Little-Known visuEats and Brand Jamaica Connection
Much of the work and accomplishments by Jamaicans in the diaspora has proven to be disruptive. visuEats is part and parcel of that conversation. A Jamaican-born, black woman in tech, visuEats’ CEO Sophronia McKenzie is making waves in the United States and around the world. An undeniable force to be reckoned with in the Jamaican diaspora, her media calendar is certainly heating up.
In that vein, on Sunday, January 2, 2022, Miss McKenzie will be speaking with Miguel and Irwin Clare. Her interview will air on Irie Jam Radio’s programme dubbed Melbourne Motivation. That programme airs live at 9:00 PM on 93.5 FM (NY) with a simulcast on Jamaica’s Bridge FM 99.1 FM.
If previous interviews are anything to go by, then Sunday’s appointment should be great! visuEaters who wish to listen to the interview can also do so at www.iriejamradio.com or www.thebridge99fm.com. On the other hand, we have some thoughts on what Sunday’s interview will entail. If you’re interested in a preview, keep reading.
Here’s What You Can Expect
visuEats is what had captured the attention of the media. So, we expect some of the interviews to delve into the app and its features. Naturally, the visuEats story is also tied to Sophronia’s own journey. Therefore, we expect a segway to Sophronia’s entrepreneurial journey, after that. This will include the many inspiring lessons learned along the way. Of course, these lessons will provide a myriad of takeaways for the listener. In short, you’re in for a treat! Don’t just take our word for it though. Tune in, and then be sure to tell us what you think.
